Making connections with other web professionals can be as important as the content of the conference. Aside from the morning and afternoon tea breaks, and lunch of course, we’ve also got a few other events to give you time to connect with peers.


Lightening talks

This year we’ve also introduced a session during the conference on Thursday called “lightening talks” as a way of allowing more conference attendees to share their experiences. Anyone attending the conference can put their name down to do a 5 minute talk on an interesting experience, a new project, or anything relevant to government and the public sector in relation to the web. This is a great way to share your experiences and hopefully inspire others. Lightening Talks will be just before lunch during the conference so that the people watching can come up and ask you more about your experience during lunch!

Social drinks

We will be having some social drinks after the workshops finish on Friday 21 August. And if people are interested we might try and organise somewhere to head off to after the conference officially closes. If you are coming down for the workshops make sure you try and stay for the social drinks before you head back home.
